As the weather cools down, it’s time to find a whole day’s worth of indoor fun at the Chicago Children’s Museum!
When you plan a day at the Chicago Children’s Museum, it’s not only going to be full of fun activities and crafts, it’s also going to be educational! As a parent, you can’t beat that! There are so many different experiences set up for educational play that you won’t have a problem finding one or more that your kids love. The whole family will spend the day playing and learning!
To start off, you and your family can step right into the Tinkering Lab! The lab is a DIY-maker space for you and the little ones. Chicago Children’s Museum provides the tools, the space, and the materials; all you have to do is bring your creativity! You can start with the ever-popular Peg Board Challenge or the family can jump right into a brand new science project of your own.
There is the Skyline experience where kids can build their own, one-of-a-kind structure out of wooden struts or the Open Playgroup available for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers where other families can meet and play! Of course, new experiences are added regularly to the Museum, so make sure to check the website for updates.
When you’re at the Chicago Children’s Museum don’t forget to Pretend You’re on Ice! It’s the indoor “ice rink” set up in the Snow Much Fun exhibit where your little ones can slip, slide, and swirl in their socks all over the rink. The “ice rink” is open most days in November during regular business hours. If you’re planning on coming by the Chicago Children’s Museum on a specific day, check out the calendar for special exhibits going on!
So, come on over to the Chicago Children’s Museum this season and get outside of the television screens and mobile devices to play, learn, and laugh with your family!
