The Great American Lobster Fest at Navy Pier, Chicago’s first outdoor festival of its kind, is fast approaching! With plenty of sunshine, live entertainment and, of course, mouth-watering lobster flown in fresh from Boston, we’ll provide the perfect setting to end your summer with a bang!
Lobster pre-orders will be open for submission through August 12. These will include your choice of full steamed lobster, lobster roll (voted best in Chicago), or tasty lobster tacos all served with Pretzel Crisps, refreshing watermelon, fresh cut lemons, and a delectable butter dipping sauce. Not a big lobster fan? Not a problem! For all of our vegetarian and non-seafood eating friends out there, The Great American Lobster Fest will feature a plethora of options just for you! From Chicago favorites like hot dogs and Italian beef, to summer specialties like corn on the cob and mac and cheese, there’s something for everyone!
After you’ve satisfied your taste buds, you’ll want to want to stimulate another sense—your ears! Both days of the festival are jam-packed with live performances ranging from tribute bands like Think Floyd (Pink Floyd tribute) and Trippin’ Billies (Dave Matthews Band tribute) to home-grown aspiring groups like Ghosthouse! With the best seats in the city for the Chicago Air and Water Show as well as Navy Pier’s Saturday night 10:15 p.m. fireworks display, there is no better way to spend your weekend than at Navy Pier! For a full look at the lineup by day, take a look at the official Great American Lobster Fest website!
As if promises of lobster and great music weren’t convincing enough, your attendance at the Great American Lobster Fest will help hundreds of puppies find their forever homes! The Great American Lobster Fest believes every good thing should have a good cause. That’s why they’re giving a portion of festival proceeds to the hard-working folks at Mr. Bones and Co., an all-volunteer based, animal welfare non-profit committed to supporting animal rescue and advocacy. Additional information on Mr. Bones and Co., as well as the cause, can be found here.
Both general admission and VIP tickets are still available to be purchased online; but don’t delay as the longer you wait, the more you pay!
