For the love of chocolate this is one event you don’t want to miss! Everyone’s favorite sweet piece of heaven has its very own festival at Navy Pier. Chocolate, the soft, gooey, lovable delight is taking over the Pier next weekend, October 18 through 20 at the Chicago Fine Chocolate Show.
The Chicago Fine Chocolate Show is a unique culinary event open to all chocolate lovers of Chicago. Fine artisanal chocolate creations from around the world will display their world class chocolate. Over 100 vendors will offer samples (yes, you read right, FREE samples!) and specialty items for purchase. Also, the masterminds of chocolate from the French Pastry School are hosting live pasty demonstrations where the perfect homemade chocolate brownie, cupcake, caramel and marshmallow will be born right before your eyes.
After you’re stuffed from the chocolate overload you can sit in on a chocolate-featured seminar and learn more about the sweet. For example, during the Fine Chocolate Industry Association’s “Back Tips, Tricks & Insights,” Brian Emmett will discuss his passion for incorporating chocolate into his baking. Want to master the ultimate, fluffy, gourmet chocolate pancake? There’s a seminar for you. You can even taste the world’s rarest chocolate in a seminar hosted by Chocolate for Spirit! View these and all the seminar details here!
Does all this chocolate talk keep you wondering how to make it for yourself? We sure want to know! Join us at The Story of Chocolate presentation by the National Confectioners Association to learn the six steps to creating chocolate.
Everyone is welcome at this affordable and family friendly show for a sweet weekend treat or just to stock up on some specialty chocolate for future holiday gifts! So come out to discover all things chocolate and support our favorite dessert that has brought each one of us at least a little bit of happiness at some point in our lives!
Ticket Prices are $25 (General Admission) and available in advance or at the door.
(Discounted tickets for groups over 20, military, and seniors over 65)
The Event is hosted in Festival Hall A at Navy Pier and runs from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 9p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Come down and get your fill! We’ll race you to the first table!
