September 19-22 bring you Expo Chicago! This is one of the largest art expositions in Chicago and the nation. The show also attracts international audience because of the exhibits from artists all over the world. This event is designed to bring awareness to contemporary, modern, fine and classic art and to broaden the horizons of many audiences.
The great thing about the EXPO is that you don’t have to be in the art world at all to come or appreciate what is going on at this fantastic event. It is meant for all ages to learn more about what is going on in the art community, as it is ever-changing.
Since there is going to be such a diverse group of exhibitions this year, we wanted to focus on a few so you can get a feel for what to expect when you attend Expo Chicago 2013.
- Galerie Forsblom (Helsinki, Finland)
From emerging talents to established artists, Galerie Forsblom presents exhibitions by leading Finnish and International artists. It is one of the leading galleries in Northern Europe, and recently moved to a major new gallery space in central Helsinki, designed by Gluckman Mayner Architects, New York. Through 10 exhibitions per year in each of two separate spaces, Galerie Forsblom alternates important shows by major international contemporary artists and Finnish talents.
- Diana Lowenstein Gallery (Miami, Florida)
Based in Miami’s Wynwood Art District, Diana Lowenstein Gallery has over twenty years of specialized experience presenting contemporary art in the United States and across the globe. Diana Lowenstein Fine Arts runs a year-long exhibition program in Miami and participates in the world’s most exclusive art fairs, presenting the works of its stable of international artists.
Established in 1989, DL was introduced to the international art scene upon opening as Der Brücke in Buenos Aires. The gallery became known for showing local talent while also organizing exhibitions of world-renowned artists. These solo shows were immediately embraced by the audience in Argentina. After great success there, they decided to make a big move to Miami in 2000, where it is currently located. The gallery has continually expanded to include a global talent. DL strives to introduce vibrant new artists, enriching the local and global community’s diversity. Contemporary art remains the gallery’s artistic current. The variety of styles & media exhibited is bound by this focus.
- Rosenthal Fine Art (Chicago, Illinois)
Rosenthal Fine Art Gallery is located in the heart of the Gold Coast neighborhood. With a focus on 20th century American and European art, including Modernism, Abstract Expressionism, Post-War, and Contemporary, they provide our clients with a wide range of personalized services including appraisals and curatorial consultations.
This incredible event only comes around once a year and not only is it eye-opening to the art community, but it lets you get a sampler of all sorts of areas of expertise from the world.
