Get ready for two days of high energy, excitement, and some seriously impressive moves. The U.S. Cheer and Dance Finals are coming to Navy Pier on April 12–13, 2014!
This high-profile, end-of-the-season series features seven events across the U.S. that ultimately crown champions in all divisions and levels of cheer and dance. The competition is fierce and no punches are pulled as teams contend to see exactly where they rank against other cheer and dance teams from coast to coast and around the world. Last year, more than 1,500 teams competed!
To qualify for a bid, teams must attend any of the 200+ qualifying events and finish 1st-5th place in their division. Both dance and cheer each have four divisions: All-Star, School, Rec, and All-Star Prep. Each division has its own set of rules and regulations, and performances are scored on a variety of skills, including technique, execution, overall impression, and more.
You don’t want to miss this rare gathering of so many rhythm-blessed athletes in one place. Spectator admission prices range from $15-$35, and both one- and two-day passes are available. Each team competes only once, so if there’s a specific squad you want to cheer on, be sure to check the performance schedule first!
While visiting Navy Pier, be sure to make time for other attractions! From cruises on Lake Michigan and fun souvenir shopping, to the dazzling IMAX Theater and the Amazing Chicago’s Funhouse Maze, there are plenty of things to do. Plus, come hungry and explore dining options that are as diverse as Chicago.
Mark your calendars and prepare to be awed! We’ll see you this weekend!
