lTheater is an experience more than watching actors on a stage as a spectator in the audience; it’s a place where you can feel like part of a tale! Theater is magical and imaginative and right here in Chicago! Join us this year for a magical experience at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater!

Chicago Shakespeare Theater is starting the new season off strong with two brilliant classics: Blind Summit’s The Table, and Cyrano de Bergerac.

The Table, a remarkable performance originating in the UK, is making its first U.S. tour Upstairs at Chicago Shakespeare! The show that has been called “Absolutely Sublime” by Time Out London is only spending two short weeks (10/16 – 10/27) at Navy Pier. Buy your tickets now to watch a cantankerous, cardboard headed puppet named Moses work through his existential crisis on a tabletop.  Contemporary adult audiences will adore this imaginative performance of modern style puppetry and storytelling. The Table runs for 70 minutes in the Theater Upstairs at Chicago Shakespeare.

Cyrano de Bergerac, already showing at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater, brings to life the battle between inner and outer beauty. This classic piece by Edmond Rostand, stars Harry Groener, the winner of the Best Actor Jeff Award, as the dashing nobleman and delicate poet trapped between his gift for romance and his shockingly large nose. This poetic love story promises to touch as many hearts as it did 100 years ago. Cyrano de Bergerac is playing in the CST Courtyard Theater until 11/10.

Check out either show for a romantic date night at Navy Pier – don’t forget to stop by Navy Pier restaurants beforehand where Chicago Shakespeare Theater patrons enjoy exclusive offers:

•             Harry Caray’s sets the scene for Shakespeare patrons by offering a different special menu based on the theme or setting of the show.

•             Present your Chicago Shakespeare tickets at RIVA and receive a 20% discount.

As always, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre ticket holders are guaranteed parking at the indoor parking garage at the Navy Pier Garages. When parking says “full,” simply tell Navy Pier Security that you’re “here for Shakespeare!”

You don’t want to miss these awesome new performances! Check out show times and prices and we’ll see you at the theater!
