Navy Pier knows that Chicago is bursting with culture of all kinds. To embrace and celebrate Chicago’s diversity, Navy Pier presents its fourth annual Neighborhoods of the World presented by ComEd! In the Crystal Gardens every Sunday through April 13, join Navy Pier in a weekly celebration of a different culture from around the globe and around the city!
Over the course of the next seven weeks, you’ll get the chance to learn all about the Lithuanian, Mexican, Italian, Philippine, African, Greek, and Indian heritage. Explore these cultures through all your senses: taste their native foods, hear their music, and watch their traditional dances! You’ll have the opportunity to hear about their history and shape your knowledge through fun activities.
Chicago’s ethnic communities are full of life and vitality, and Navy Pier is bringing that right to you—no traveling required! Did we mention that this event is free and you can enter to win a trip to an international destination of your choice on American Airlines? That’s right! You could have the chance to learn about one of these rich cultures right at its roots!
Starting March 2nd, a new culture will be showcased every Sunday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Check out the schedule below and plan some time for this fun weekend activity—see some of Chicago’s ethnic enclaves come to life!
