Chinese-American Museum of Chicago

Chinese-American Museum of ChicagoNavy Pier is always proud to celebrate the rich tapestry of Chicago’s diverse ethnic communities, which is why we’re so excited to be holding our third annual cultural tribute, Neighborhoods of the World!

Over the course of eight Sundays, the public will have the chance to come to Navy Pier’s beautiful Crystal Gardens for an afternoon of authentic live music, dance performances, tasty cuisine, and folk art from the week’s featured community. And of course, as in previous years, this event is completely free and open to the public and the perfect place to bring the entire family!

Neighborhoods of the World has already kicked off for the season and this Sunday, February 24, we’re bringing you a real Chinese Celebration from noon until 5 p.m.!

Come out and celebrate the Year of the Snake with us! Our Chinese Celebration will have a little bit of something for everyone from music and dancing to arts and crafts.

Join Chicago’s Chinese Fine Arts Society as they put on colorful performances with lanterns, dragons, and more and spend a little money on the beautiful trinkets made by local Chinese artisans in the New Year Marketplace!

And if you want to learn more about Chicago’s Chinese culture, plan a visit out to Chicago’s Chinatown neighborhood along Cermak and Wentworth Avenues where the culture is alive 365 days a year! Stop for lunch and a delicious glass of bubble tea before heading to the Chinese-American Museum of Chicago where for only $5 you can spend an entire afternoon amongst gorgeous Chinese artwork, artifacts, and historical photographs.
