Even More Fun at the Chicago Toy & Game Fair! | Navy Pier

What’s that crying sound and where’s it coming from? Could it be your inner child begging for a little attention? Maybe. Or could it just be the sound of your kids complaining yet again because they’re bored? Either way, we’ve got a cure for whatever ails you at this weekend’s Chicago Toy & Game Fair.

On November 17 and 18, the Chicago Toy & Game Fair opens its doors at Navy Pier for a tenth year of fun and games.

And in addition to all the great toy exhibits, the Fair is full of tons of special events for children and adults who enjoy a good time.

Are you able to do more with a Yo-Yo than get it to go up and down? Take part in the Official Illinois State Yo-Yo Contest from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday! Bring along your lucky yo-yo and register on-site for a chance to show off your mad skills before former Illinois and World Champions.

For Girl Scouts who have always dreamt of making it big in the record books, a special hour has been set aside at the Fair to attempt to break the world record for “The Most People Playing a Card Game at the Same Time in the Same City.” Wear your Girl Scout sash or vest with pride and join other local Girl Scouts on Saturday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. for a lively game of Top Trumps Moshi Monsters.

And don’t worry, Boy Scouts haven’t been forgotten! They’ll have their own Top Trumps Tournament on Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. followed up by a Top Trumps Tournament from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for all kids ages 6-14. Play your best game and you could be one of the top three winners of the Fair and walk away with $75 in prizes!

Do you remember the old-school game, Oregon Trail, with great affection? Relive those childhood memories by participating in a Settlers of Catan tournament! After several rounds of play over Saturday and Sunday, a champion will be crowned and will prequalify for the Championship Tournament in Indianapolis next year! Online registration for this event closes today at noon!

We can’t wait to see you at the Fair! Ticket information, including a $2 coupon off admission price, is located here.
