Happy Fourth of July Chicago

July 4th marks the anniversary of our nation’s freedom. Every year people across the country celebrate by holding barbecues or picnics but this summer, bring your family and friends to Navy Pier and celebrate the Chicago way!

Attractions

Start your day off by taking a ride on the 15-story iconic Navy Pier Ferris Wheel- a true Chicago landmark. The Ferris Wheel is a great family friendly ride and it’s affordable! After that, take a walk over to the musical carousel and continue the fun. Then, head over to the docks located on the west-end of the Pier and take a memorable cruise with one of Shoreline Sightseeing’s many guided tour options. Sail down the Chicago River with one of the architecture cruises or take a ride on Lake Michigan and experience the Skyline tour.

Dining

After you experience all the exciting attractions at Navy Pier, check out one of the great restaurant options for dinner. Navy Pier has many different restaurants to satisfy your dinner cravings. Try Capi’s Italian Kitchen, Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville, Harry Caray’s Tavern or check out one of the seasonal dining options. If you’re looking for a quick meal, visit one of the many street vendors located along the Pier. Cool off by grabbing some yummy ice cream from our Haagen-Dazs or Dippin’ Dots stands!

Don’t forget to stop at the Navy Pier signature store to pick up some souvenirs to remember your special 4th of July at Navy Pier! The Navy Pier Signature Store has everything from apparel to gifts and collectibles (located at the far end of the Pier).

Fireworks

No 4th of July is complete without fireworks and Navy Pier is the place to see them! Every Wednesday and Saturday night, Navy Pier showcases the best fireworks display in Chicago and on the 4th of July we are kicking it up a notch. Our fireworks display is sure to amaze you and will leave a smile on everyone’s face.
