Still wondering how to spend your Halloween? Looking for something that everyone, from Grandpa and Grandma to your four-year old cousin, will enjoy? Then come celebrate with us at the Really Big Halloween Party at Navy Pier!
There’s a lot going on at Navy Pier in the weeks leading up to Halloween, but of course all the stops are pulled out for our big bash on Monday, October 31st, Halloween Day. From 12 p.m. until 8 p.m., we’ve jam-packed the day with activities galore.
What to expect at Navy Pier’s Halloween Party!?!
All day long, you will be serenaded with the fun and funky tunes of a live brass band and DJ Spinner at our All Day Really Big Dance Party at the Family Pavilion! Plus from 12 p.m.-4 p.m., the Lowdown Brass Band will take to the stage and DJ Brian Starr will close out the night with his show from 5 p. m.- 8 p.m.
Visitors will be able to get up close and personal with some very cuddly animals at Gateway Park. There will be Camel Rides, Llama or Burro Rides, and a Petting Zoo (where feeding the animal is very much encouraged).
Head to Dock Street to see a modern-day Houdini, as well as a bunch of other human oddballs. At 5 p.m. and again at 7 p.m., award-winning magician, Dennis Watkins, will perform mystifying illusions, including Houdini’s infamous Water Chamber Escape! Throughout the day, various circus-type acts will perform like the Human Marionettes, Conjoined Twins, Bearded Lady, Half-Man Half-Woman, Stilt-Walking Unicycle Trickster, Fortune Tellers, Dr. P.W. Sellinger on his Curicycle, and Sword Swallower.
And if you’re craving more spooky oddities, Explore the Cemetery, visit the Monkeyboy, Tigerlady, Birdman and Human Lizard, and check out the Animal Creatures Showcase and Fire Dancers in Pier Park.
If you’re a big fan of rides, don’t forget about our Really Big Halloween Pass! For a real bargain ($6 for children under three, $15 for ages 3-4, $20 for ages 5 and up), you’ll get to enjoy all five rides in Pier Park, take a trip through our Amazing Chicago’s Funhouse Maze, and ride a llama, burro, or camel or visit our petting zoo (feed bag included).
Plus, the Chicago Children’s Museum will be open on Halloween for costume and pumpkin decorating and a Monster Mash Dance Party! And if Mom and Dad need a break, stop by Harry Caray’s Tavern for Halloween-themed martinis and a scavenger hunt and cookie decorating for the kids.
And what would Halloween be without Trick-or-Treating? Children 12 and under are invited to visit businesses throughout the Pier for Halloween candy treats. (Maybe if you’re lucky, they’ll even share.)
So come join us at Navy Pier for the biggest Halloween party of the year! And have a Happy, Safe, and Scary Halloween!
