Navy Pier fans, since we’re fast approaching the year’s end and are in the midst of that special season for giving thanks, we think it’s only fitting that we take a moment to stop and talk about all that we’re thankful for.
2012 has been a year full of exciting events and special guests.
We started the year off with two fabulous New Year’s Eve parties in the Grand Ballroom and the Crystal Gardens, the end of another successful Winter WonderFest celebration (which starts up again next week so get those tickets now!), our popular Snow Days event in Gateway Park, plans to revitalize the Pier and make it even more spectacular, two visits by the Tibetan Monks of Drepung Gomang Monastery who shared their beautiful talent of creating a sand mandala, a summer full of outdoor music, dining and fireworks, our first ever Comedy Fest, and that’s only half of all the great events and entertainment we put on over the course of the year.
It’s pretty safe to say that every day was a party down here at Navy Pier!
Of course nothing we planned would have been a success without great daily visitors to the Pier like you! We thank all of you who ventured down to the Pier to spend some time with us; you bring our mission of creating a safe, fun place for families to life!
And then we also want to thank all the people who keep the Pier running day in and day out. We just couldn’t do it without all of our amazing staff members! It’s due to their tireless dedication to outstanding customer service and extra efforts to make sure each visitor’s experience is special that brings back our guests year after year.
So thank you again to one and all for helping us make the Pier such a positive, wonderful place and Happy Thanksgiving!
Our Navy Pier family will be off enjoying the holiday feasts with their own families so the Pier will be closed on Thanksgiving (November 22). But come by and join us for a relaxing day away from all the Black Friday craziness on November 23!
