Native American Month at Navy Pier

Does learning more about Native American heritage, customs, and arts spark your interest? If so, you’re in the right place! In honor of November being Native American Heritage Month!

Navy Pier is proudly pairing with the American Indian Center of Chicago to bring you 3 days of workshops, tribal dances, costumes, and folklores straight from the oldest urban Indian Center in the US.

American Indian Center of Chicago

The American Indian Center of Chicago will help better your understanding of different Native American customs and visual arts beyond the education you received in 7th grade history class.

Workshops are extremely hand-on and the AIC Chicago will even demonstrate traditional dance performances as performed by Native Americans hundreds of years ago!

So dig up that old headdress in your closet because events will take place November 8-10 from 10am-2:30pm and traditional dance performances at 11am and 1pm. For school groups, contact jannan@aic-chicago.org to confirm your school tour and special workshop. Workshop space is limited, so RSVP before attending!
