Philippines in Chicago

Filipino’s began to migrate into Chicago around 1906. The migration, at that time, was mainly men in search of a better education. Once they were settled, their families soon followed and the foundation of Chicago’s Filipino community began to take shape.

The focal point of Chicago’s Filipino community is primarily found on the city’s Northwest Side where authentic eateries, shops and more dot the landscape.

The Consulate General of the Philippines will be presenting this event. This event will take place in Navy Pier’s Crystal Gardens. It will include dancing, live music, colorful costumes, art, authentic cuisine, and more!

Do not miss out on this event, which is FREE! Yes, Free! Don’t forget mark your calendars:

Crystal Gardens (Navy Pier) Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
