GCFD_WrapperHunger is a serious and pervasive issue in our community.

To help fight hunger this holiday season, Bank of America, our Winter WonderFest lead sponsor, has teamed up with the Greater Chicago Food Depository and Northern Illinois Food Bank  to help our visitors fight hunger locally while ice skating at Winter WonderFest.

During December 13-15, 2013 and December 20-22, 2013, Winter WonderFest visitors can help the hungry while ice skating at the Chicago Blackhawks Indoor Ice Skating Rink. Visitors are encouraged to opt-in to Bank of America’s Skate to Donate program where for every minute a registered participant skates, a $0.10 donation is made on their behalf. Limit one 60-minute session per person.

Visitors can also promote their generous donations to their social media community while at the ice rink; for more information on how to participate in the Skate to Donate program, visit the Bank of America booth set up near the ice rink at Winter WonderFest.

In total through the Skate to Donate program, the Bank of America will donate up to $10,000, evenly split between the Greater Chicago Food Depository and Northern Illinois Food Bank.

We’re calling on all Chicagoans to use their connections to bring meals to those in need this holiday season.
